Continuing progress for insulators

The standardization of high-voltage insulators and connected questions within the IEC is handled by Technical Committee No. 36 and its three sub-committees. During the last decade, a sub-division of its work according to the field of application has been made which allows the main committee to delegate work to specialists in separate fields whilst being able to deal with questions of principle as they arise.
