High frequency transistor parameters and their experimental determination

For the specialized application of transistors, some knowledge of their electrical and physical characteristics is required. As is the case with valves, transistor manufacturers supply a limited amount of data about their product to serve as a guide for the design engineer. However, with the transistor art at its present state of development, there still exists some controversy about what the most relevant data is that has to accompany the device into the hands of the experimenter.
