High Speed Level Shifter Design for Low Power Applications

In modern world, there is a need for small and handheld devices like phones, tabs, and multimedia device etc., needs less power consumptions. As technology are growing, scaling of voltages is a major issue. In these cases, voltage level shifters can be used to give different voltages of circuit. In this paper, Level up Shifter with High Speed and Low Power has been presented. Current mirror based LS has average power 235.03pW, delay of 60.75ms and area of 8 transistor. LS based Inverter has average power 89.03pW, delay of 310.5ps and area of 4 transistor. Proposed LS has average power 70.05pW, delay of 285.06ps and area of 4 transistor. All the circuits were simulated using cadence virtuoso 180nmTechnology.
