Presidential address: The electrical manufacturing industry in South Africa

IT IS A TIME HONOURED CUSTOM FOR YOUR incoming President to begin by expressing his thanks to both the Council and to the Members of this Institute for the confidence they have shown in him and for the great honour which they have conferred upon him. The fact that this is the 52nd time in the history of this Institute that such thanks have been returned and that to most of you they have become commonplace by repetition does not in any way lessen the very deep feelings with which I now say to you, a very sincere ‘thank you’.
