Design and Implementation of a Virtual Costume Museum

This paper analyses and designs a virtual costume museum, based on the National Costume Museum of Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology and its exhibits. It is created the exhibition hall and Manchu clothing 3D display model using 3ds Max, and generated the dynamic display effect of exhibits using clo3D software. It is constructed the multi-Level of Details (LOD) models of collection using LOD technology for optimize the scene of the system. It is realized the dynamic call of the basic information of clothing in the system connecting unity with the background database MySQL, and realized scene roaming, and interacted between users and virtual clothing collections using HTC Vive device.
