A new Power Distribution concept for Multifrequency Microgrid

Multifrequency microgrid (MFMG) has several advantages over traditional AC or DC microgrid like higher efficiency due to use of less number of converters, higher transmission capacity, higher degree of functionality, and flexibility due to decoupled power flow, and better capability of connecting distributed energy resources. This paper explores a power distribution technique for MFMG where power electronics interfaces enable frequency based power transmission like radio or telecommunication systems. As per the superposition theorem and orthogonal power flow method, different frequency power channels can be created on a single conductor without mixing. Distribution companies can use any of the available frequency channels to send their power. Using the frequency selectivity criteria, users can choose a certain frequency channel based on their requirement at the load side.
