A Review on Ransomware Attack

There has been an exponential surge in cyber-attacks in recent years. Ransomware is the most dangerous cyber attack in the world that prevent users accessing their devices, by locking the user’s device screen or by encrypting user's user files. The users file encrypted until a ransom amount is paid. The effect of this type of a cyber attack is permanent and difficult to alleviate, even after removal, without the aid of its author. The implementation of Situational Awareness (SA) and cognitive approaches now makes the rapid detection of ransomware threats clear and easier these days. Nowadays the ransomware attack has create impact on user data, it needs to be addressed. In this review article, we see what a ransomware attack is and strengthen their current approaches and strategies for ransomware attack detection and prevention. With this review article we suggested some detection and prevention approaches improvement.
