Various Techniques to Improve the Efficiency of Apriori Algorithm: A Review

Association rule mining plays a significant role in determining the correlations among various attributes. Apriori Algorithm being most widely used for the same purpose. The algorithm majorly aims over finding the frequent patterns in the provided data set. This paper aims at explaining the different techniques by which the efficiency of the algorithm can be improved. In the past decade, various researchers have come up with diverse techniques and have incorporated different technologies to showcase improved efficiency and have focused on other factors such as memory faults, multiple parallel scanning, execution time have been considered. This paper tends to have a comparative analysis of such techniques along with a detailed description of them.
