The electrification of the capetown suburban railways, with special reference to coaching stock

The inception of railroad travel in the Cape forms an interesting chapter in the annals of railway progress in the sub-continent, but whilst we give honour to those early stalwarts who laid the foundations of the vast machine of the present day, it is with regret that the scope of this paper does not permit of recounting some of their achievements.
