Some notes on mine engineering work in Northern Rhodesia

It is the author's endeavour in this paper to deal briefly with some of the general problems met with in the course of four years' experience as resident engineer to the Rhodesia Broken Hill Development Company, Limited, and, although the major portion of the paper deals with pumping, or mine drainage problems, he trusts that the other matter contained herein will also merit some discussion on the part of members.
