The poulsen arc system, as applied to long-distance wireless communication

Under the auspices of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers, Mr. C. F. Elwell, Managing Director of C. F. Elwell, Ltd., delivered a most instructive and interesting lecture on “The Poulsen Arc System, as Applied to Long-Distance Communication,” in the Assembly Hall of the Scientific and Technical Club, 100, Fox Street, Johannesburg, on Thursday, the 27th July, 1922, at 8 p.m. Mr. R. F. Botting (Vice-President) was in the chair, and there were about 150 members and their friends present, including several ladies.
