Motion control of spacecraft with low-thrust engines for a flight to a Near-Earth asteroid

The paper considers the possibility of carrying out a mission to small bodies of the Solar System of irregular shape, such as asteroids. The authors of the article suggest using a spacecraft with low-thrust engines to study the asteroid. The purpose of this work is to determine the necessary costs of the working fluid for all stages of the mission, including reaching the asteroid, forming and maintaining a given orbit relative to it. When modeling the controlled motion of the spacecraft, the authors took into account the attraction of the Earth, the Sun and the asteroid Apophis. The article describes the stage of motion of the spacecraft relative to the asteroid. The authors describe its gravitational field as a superposition of the gravitational fields of two rotating massive points.
