On the Estimation of the Measurement Accuracy of Satellite Navigation Systems Using Dynamic Recursive Correction

The paper presents the results of the studies aimed to estimate the probability of collisions in the course of GLONASS navigation measurements. Collisions may arise due to dynamic recursive correction (DRC) used to predict the area of space wherein a moving object could be located at the moments of successive navigation measurements. Prediction relies on current information on the linear and angular velocities and accelerations of the object from its onboard sensors of motion parameters. The accuracy of GNSS navigation measurements is increased by reducing the area of space of the object possible location at subsequent navigation measurements. In so doing, the part of space where the object cannot be located because of its current dynamic properties is excluded from consideration. Measurement collisions may consist in the fact that the navigation measurement point may lie outside the area of space formed with the use of the DRC. In this case, the coordinates of the measurement point must be transferred to the DRC-formed area of space. In addition, after the measurement point is moved inside the area of space formed with the use of the DRC, the distance between the true and measured coordinates of the object location is likely to increase.
