Proceedings at the two hundred and eighty-ninth monthly general meeting

The President: Gentlemen, before proceeding with the business of the meeting, I regret to have to announce the death of one of our old and esteemed members, Mr. L. H. Marthinusen. He was one of our Foundation Members, having joined the Institute on the 5th August, 1909; he died on the 16th May, 1938. Mr. Marthinusen has always taken a very keen interest in the affairs of the Institute, and the news of his sudden death came as a blow to all of us.
