Radius Measurements of Angular Bearing Raceways in the Context of Analytical Computations of Contact Interactions

The article presents digitization methods with focus on the applied solution (CMM machine equipped with an active scanning head VastXT). The paper describes thoroughly the way the geometrical information was collected, and the methods used for determination of interesting parameters. The second part deals with analytical methods applied during the investigation and the obtained results referring to the radius of the raceway and its impact on the contact stiffness, contact angles and contact forces of spindle bearings.
