DAEDALUS Framework for High-Level Synthesis: Past, Present and Future

The following paper discusses the structure and semantics of an open-source high-level embedded system design framework called DAEDALUS. It consists of multiple tools that help making the transition between the electronic system level (ESL) to register transfer level (RTL) description of streaming data multiprocessor systems. Application, platform, and mapping specifications are thoroughly discussed.
