Computational Fluid Dynamics and Experimental Analyzes of a Pico-Hydrokinetic Turbine

The use of different kind of renewable sources of energy is strongly encouraged globally. The practical realization of a pico-hydrokinetic turbine that can be implemented in small rivers must be preceded by the realization and verification of the experimental models because is important to choose the optimal model. In this paper are presented some of the Computational Fluid Dynamics obtained using the Altair SimLab software, AcuSolve solver, and experimental results of the phenomena that appear during the functioning of the turbine model developed by ICPE-CA.
