Monitoring of Sensitive Transports Using the Internet of Things

We describe scalable and cost effective monitoring of transports of sensitive objects using the Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure that they are transported under required conditions. The purpose is to collect data about environment variables and mechanical stress of transported sensitive objects and provide near real-time information about transport conditions. Consideration of power consumption for a long-term battery operation is also included.
