Impact of Au and Ag contact on the electrical parameters of MnO2 Nanowires grown by Glancing Angle Deposition technique

The study of the effect of gold (Au) and silver (Ag) on MnO2 nanowires (NW) were carried out by analyzing their impact on the parameters of the electrical characteristics. Firstly MnO2 NW of length 250nm was fabricated on p-Si substrate using Glancing angle deposition (GLAD) technique. Secondly, Gold (Au) and Silver (Ag) contacts are then deposited on top of the NW. Extraction of the junction parameters like ideality factor; schottky barrier height, series resistance and interface index were carried out. Comparing the parameters of Au/MnO2 NW and Ag/MnO2 NW, Gold (Au) contact shows better performance as compared to Silver (Ag).
