Identification of Suitable Resort Location Through GIS Cloud

GIS is a best tool for decision making when there are so many criteria's to be considered. In selecting suitable sites for the tourist resort locations GIS and AHP plays important role. By using AHP weight have been calculated and assigned to the particular criterian maps and further the weighted overlay analysis was implemented in ArcGIS 10.3. This study gives the output as Suitable site selection for the tourist resort location. This study also gives some suggestion for the development of tourism in bheemunipatnam as tourism industry is the best one to depend on for income and one such example is UAE. India also bringing so many initiatives to develop tourism as an industry to generate economy, direct and indirect employment. The Government of Andhra Pradesh is looking into increase the state's economy by developing various sectors which includes tourism. Bheemunipatnam is one such tourist attractions in Andhra Pradesh and very near to the Visakhapatnam. This geospatial based study focuses for identification of tourist places with a view to improve facilities in Bheemunipatnam area in Visakhapatnam district, Andhra Pradesh. Tourist sites are located and measured its coordinates by using Open Data Kit (ODK) mobile app and Mobile Data Collection (MDC) mobile app.
