A Review on Clinical Gait Analysis

Walking plays a very important role in our day to day life. Analysis of gait leads to detection and diagnose of various health issues at early stage and hence leads to great improvement in the treatment. Various rehabilitation are using analysis of gait in order to check the effect of treatment on once body. The aim of this research is to review various approaches for Gait Analysis and specifically clinical gait analysis. This paper includes the discussion on the background details of gait, related terminology and parameters, followed by the detail discussion on the approaches from subjective used in the early times for analysis of gait to vision based approaches used nowadays for analysis of gait. Narrative discussion done in this paper will help the researchers to work in the field of gait analysis. Future scope of gait in discussed in the end.
