IoT application for Safety and Health Monitoring System for Construction Workers

In the construction industry, safety has always been a difficult problem. With the number of incidents each year, it has become increasingly difficult to keep track of how many accidents occur each year. Many safety systems have been established, which either report incidents after they have occurred or simply ensure that employees are fitted with the appropriate safety equipment. These are not, however, preventative steps and will not help minimize the number of injuries. In order to address these limitations, an IoT-based application has been proposed to ensure the safety of construction workers. In this paper, the Internet of Things is prominently used to monitor the safety of the construction workers. The IoT has aided in broadening the scope of safety considerations in order to provide a better working atmosphere for employees. As a result, the new structure has the potential to significantly reduce injury rates and make the construction industry a safer place to work.
