Rotor Angle Stability of Synchronous Generator for Power Grid with Wind Energy

Stability of synchronous generators becomes a major topic in the power system operation due to, high penetration of renewable energy sources to the power distribution systems. The fluctuation of these sources affects the stability of the generators, which implies to study the possibility of electrical machines to withstand disturbances and to regain stable operation in very short time. Transient stability plays an important role, especially for a multi-machine system. Many different methods have been used to solve this problem. The best method is the numerical solutions. This paper describes this method in analysis the transient stability and to define the stable and unstable conditions after a fault clearing.
