Analysis of realistic DS-OCDMA/VLC for V2X communication using optisystem

This paper presents the simulation of the Visible Light Communication (VLC) using Direct Sequence Optical Code Division Multiple Access (DS-OCDMA) system developed with OptiSystem-Matlab Co-simulation. The OCDMA works by assigning to each user a specific code and could provide an asynchronous and simultaneous access to several users. One limitation is the Multiple Access Interference (MAI). The use of very long code sequences is necessary for limiting this effect. Therefore, very large bandwidths are required. An alternative to the speed limitations of electronic devices could be to realize all optical modules. This study consists of demonstrating, by using system simulation, the feasibility of an all-optical Conventional Correlation Receiver dedicated to a DS-OCDMA access network link. We use OPTISYTEM to implement our blocks.
