Detection and Correction of Node Failures in Wireless Sensor Networks

Detection of the failure of nodes in Wireless Sensor Networks is being seen as a very big task because there are several factors or threats that lead to node failures and are needed to be corrected. Sometimes failures are caused because the Network topology changes often, the limitation of resources and the network may not be always connected. The proposed system used mainly two schemes that detect node failures which are recognized as Binary and Non-binary feedback measures. This detection scheme is found to be far better in performance compared to other approaches. The Centralized monitoring is an existing method and as it is not applicable to disconnected networks, it is not reliable. This method is found to have 80% lesser communication overhead. The proposed method has around 95% accuracy compared to centralized monitoring. This project approach has high packet delivery ratio, low routing overhead, low average end-to-end delay ratio for packet transfer.
