Intelligent Statistical Modeling and Approaches of Financial Literacy

Financial Literacy helps in understanding how to use savings, Credit, Investments, Borrowings, Investments and expenditure. This paper analyses awareness about microfinance among rural women in Thrissur District. The financial literacy awareness is measured using four attributes which SHG Constitution, Accounts and Book Keeping, Managerial and Banking Aspects. The responses are collected using primary data from a sample size of 450 rural women at Thrissur District. Microfinance is interrelated to financial literacy and financial inclusion and financially literate women is well aware of the financial services available in banks and banks are ready to serve the financial literate people and microfinance and SHGs. It concludes that there is high and complete awareness about microfinance among the women in Thrissur District and they are financially literate. Making women financially literate is necessary not only to make them smart in money management but also for maintaining a healthy financial discipline.
