Channel Estimation of Spatial Correlated Channel in Massive MIMO

Massive multiple input multiple output (MIMO), which provides high data rate and throughput, is one of the prominent technology of 5G. In massive MIMO, the base station is equipped with many antennas that serve many users at the same time and frequency. In order to transmit the data in the uplink and downlink process, channel estimation is required. Spatially correlated channel for different distributions is considered in this paper. We have provided the improved result of channel estimation, for the spatially correlated channel in this paper and the results are compared with conventional MMSE (Minimum mean squared error) and Least square (LS) estimation techniques, considering different distributions. The improved results show a reduction in mean square error.
