Research on precise and fast self-recovery method of dual-core smart meter management

The dual-core smart meters are isolated and operated independently by the measurement chip and management chip, which meet the standards proposed by IR46 and have broad application scenarios in the frontier fields such as digital grid and energy internet. The current dual-core smart meters have the problem that the management chip cannot recover itself accurately and quickly, which leads to the confusion and even loss of business data and affects the normal use of smart meters. This paper composes the common self-recovery methods for software failure of traditional dual-core smart meters, and increases the accuracy of control and greatly shortens the self-recovery time through a series of processes such as monitoring, checking, judging and restarting by an independent supervisory program. The focus is on the design of communication interaction and data transmission at the software level of the supervisory program, which does not require too many changes to the hardware, and finally the function and performance of the improved dual-core smart meter is demonstrated by experimental data.
