An Empirical Study on the Comprehensive Influence Evaluation of Government Affair Weibo and WeChat Official Account Using Analytic Hierarchy Process and Principal Component Analysis

Combined with the status quo of official account, this paper makes an empirical analysis of the comprehensive influence of government affair Weibo and WeChat official account by using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and principal component analysis (PCA). This analysis based on the data of government affair Weibo, WeChat official account and experts' questionnaire of 500 departments across China in 2015. The results show that although the basic ideas of the two methods are different, PCA analyzes the indicator data on the basis of explaining the variance contribution rate and gives more weight to the data with large variance contribution rate, which is highly objective; AHP gives more weight to the data with large variance contribution rate based on expert experience, which is highly subjective. After all, the results of PCA and AHP are consistent.
