The satisfaction of new graduates to housing security policy in Tianjin: Empirical research based on orderly probit model

As the “sandwich layer”, the housing security of new college graduates has attracted much attention. Based on the information collected from the field survey, this paper discusses the specific factors that affect the satisfaction degree of new college graduates to the housing security policy, and constructs an ordered probit model. The factors influencing the satisfaction degree of the housing security policy are roughly summarized into three levels: personal characteristics, housing status and awareness of housing security policy. The results of the model show that: education background, satisfaction with the current housing, understanding of the housing security policy have a significant impact on the satisfaction of the housing security policy; age and future demand for house purchase have a significant impact on the satisfaction of the housing security policy. On the basis of the analysis of the empirical results, this paper further puts forward some policy suggestions to improve the current housing security policy, implement differentiated housing subsidy policy, and increase the publicity of housing security policy.
