Keynote: Intelligent IoT Architectures to Support Distributed Cognitive Applications

The possibility to design and deploy intelligent IoT architectures and services represent a fundamental pillar for the next generation of distributed cognitive applications. Only through a standard and interoperable IoT ecosystem it will be possible to overcome the challenges associated to a massive heterogeneity in terms of devices, protocols and data formats and start designing smart applications. An intelligent IoT system will be the glue among physical assets, digital services, cognitive capabilities and users. The keynote speech will present current research and open challenges for the definition of the next generation of distributed intelligent IoT systems and how they can support cognitive services in multiple application scenarios.
