A retrofitting of a commercial residential building into a green building concept: A case study in Jordan

This research paper is exploring the possibility of retrofitting one selected residential apartment in Amman, Jordan. While the green building is exclusively conducted for commercial companies and foreign organization, there are no information for residential site within buildings unit. The study provided systematic analysis and energy and water consumption. Since water and energy sectors in Jordan suffers from several major problems, a systematic solution from induvial people is proposed. Therefore, this study suggests various modifications and retrofitting in one single apartment, then I apply them and recording the differences based on the LEED rating system.
