Wrist Pulse Detector with Pneumatic Compression

Traditional Chinese medicine generally detects the pulse change rule of the patient to diagnose the disease suffered by the patient. Changes in blood flow will cause changes in pulse vibration. As blood flow runs through the whole body, the occurrence of diseases will lead to pulse disorder. Sometimes diseases have not yet occurred, but doctors can predict diseases through pulse changes, so pulse sensing is very important to traditional Chinese medicine. At present, the existing pulse detectors have various defects. The medical detectors are too large in volume, complex in detection methods, high in cost, unstable in pneumatic compression, inaccurate in measurement results of portable equipment, randomness in pulse collection points, and no pneumatic compression. In this study, a wrist pulse detector with pneumatic compression was created by improving the defects of medical and portable pulse detectors. This detector is equipped with the pneumatic compression system, so it can better fix the wrist position and collect pulse information. At the same time, it is portable and convenient for doctors to carry, thus serving some people with mobility difficulties. Moreover, this detector has extremely low cost and is suitable for household and medical use. The hand of the tested person is placed in the cylinder, and the tested person uses the pneumatic pump to pressurize the airbag to fix and detect. Finally, the display screen will display the pulse signal waveform diagram of the tested person, so as to facilitate doctors to observe abnormal pulse.
