Design & Development of Portable Vata, Pitta & Kapha [VPK] Pulse Detector to Find Prakriti of an Individual using Artificial Neural Network

In Indian Ayurvedic therapy, Nadi (wrist pulse) is checked to find Prakriti (or some diseases) of an individuals. In this research work, Vata, Pitta & Kapha [V, P & K] pulses are captured, recorded and analyzed to diagnose Prakriti (health) of an individual. The hardware setup contains frontend amplifier, high speed programmable analog to digital converter and higher end PIC micro-controller which connects to the host. A sophisticated software is designed to record these pulses in txt file. Matlab, Visual Studio, Pro-Mikroc, Orcad tools are used in the design. Frequency spectrum of recorded VPK pulses is considered for feature extraction. The output matrix obtained after feature extraction is used further for classification process using Artificial Neural Network to classify Prakriti of an individual.
