Two-Phase Digital Signal Modulation with Efficiency of 17 Bit Per Sample

A system of two-phase signals with spread in space and summation into a radio channel according to the SIMO 2×1 scheme was designed. With correlated reception of the mixed (combined) signal, the system provides modulation efficiency of 17 bits/sample. The main problem (challenge) at receiving is resolving of ambiguity in determining the optimal value of the initial phase in the mixed (combined) signal, that defines the maximum modulus of the cross-correlation function of the signal. It is necessary to clarify the signs of the trigonometric functions of angles, which makes it possible to determine the true values of initial phases of the signals transmitted.
