Cutting constitutive model of metallic glass based on stress-temperature sensitivity

Metallic glass is a kind of material with high stress- temperature double sensitivity and it's difficult to describe its material properties with traditional constitutive model. As a result of the lacking of suitable flow stress constitutive model in FEM software for cutting simulation of metallic glass, a flow stress constitutive model of metallic glass(Vit1) considering the effect of hydrostatic stress and temperature subsection is presented based on the stress-temperature sensitivity of metallic glass. Basic model parameters were defined through mechanic test data and temperature influence coefficient was emphatically optimized by orthogonal cutting experiment inverse analysis methods. By establishing metallic glass FEM cutting simulation model, cutting force and cutting chip morphology was obtained, which agree well with experiment result.
