Research on the Competitiveness and Complementarity of Foreign Trade in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai under the Background of Integration of the Yangtze River Delta

The Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration is located in East China, which is an important starting point for the "Belt and Road" Initiative and the leader of the Yangtze River Economic Belt. High expectations are placed in the socialist modernization drive and the economic layout of opening up. As the most developed region of China's economy, and also China's largest foreign trade export base, foreign trade has always played an irreplaceable role in its economic development. This paper first analyses the current situation of foreign trade development in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and Shanghai, then uses the dominant comparative advantage index, export similarity index to analyze the competitiveness of foreign trade in three provinces and one city. Subsequently, the paper adopts the trade combination index, trade specialization index to analyze the complementarity situation of foreign trade between the Yangtze River Delta and its main trading partners, and on this basis. At last, some relevant ccountermeasures and suggestions are put forward.
