Research on the Construction of Scientific Integrity Guarantee System in Chinese Universities: -Based on the analysis of M.S Davis's Chart

Scientific integrity has been increasingly received concerns in Chinese universities. The construction of scientific integrity guarantee system plays an essential role in determining university's training of scientific research talents, advancement of teaching quality, as well as in influencing the prosperity of scientific research. However, the recurring problems of scientific misconduct - for instance, academic corruption and swindle scientific research funds - have brought about acute challenges to universities' scientific research management. In this context, giving an in-depth study on the root of scientific misconduct, and exploring the establishment of scientific integrity guarantee mechanism in Chinese universities will be beneficial to diminish the scientific misconduct, maintain and strengthen confidence of researchers, create a healthy academic atmosphere and undoubtedly, provide spiritual foundation for the China's construction of `world-class universities and first-class disciplines'. This article is based on the analysis of M.S Davis's Chart and the application of 3-level scale, taking scientific misconduct as explained variable, discussing mainly from individual, situational, organizational, structural, cultural factor that selected as explanatory variables to analyze the crucial factors affecting the scientific integrity of Chinese universities.
