In Search of an Energy Miracle

A new source of electrical power is needed to deal with global warming and its consequences, but there are no 21^st century solutions on the horizon. Bill Gates has pointed out that wind and solar technologies are inadequate to alone deal with these problems and he's declared the need for an ENERGY MIRACLE. This paper addresses that challenge by surveying the top 41 electrical discoveries of all time and finding three amazing facts. First, four electrical fundamentals informed most of the above-referenced 42 discoveries. Second, all four of those fundamentals were abandoned in the mid 1930's. And third, there has not been a single major electrical discovery since 1938, leaving us stuck with 19^th-century power generation technology. The paper opens a dialogue to encourage progress on the path to an Energy Miracle.
