Detection of Malicious UAV in Airspace

Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) popularly known as drones are the aircraft without any human and it is guided from the base station situated in a remote place. This UAVS have been used for many applications such as defense, agriculture, aerial photography etc. This work focusses on identifying whether the UAV is friend or a foe. There is a possibility that a UAV can enter into an airspace illegally and can possibly be a threat to that area. The surveillance drone detects whether it's a friend or an enemy. In order to detect the drone and to decide whether it is a friend or enemy, a safe encrypted communication is established with the unknown drone asking for its identity. If the drone is a friend then it will decrypt the information sent by the surveillance drone and reply to it. If it does not reply the same is reported to the base station by the surveillance drone. The prototype of the above discussed scenario is implemented with the help of Arduino and RF communication devices.
