Hardware Architecture of Digital Drum Kit Using FPGA

Digital drums are the exact copy of real acoustic drums but the sound comes from it is not natural, the digital drum produces the prerecorded sound from its memory and electronic system. The real acoustic drum can be played by hitting the membrane of drum cylinder by drum sticks, but in case of digital there is no concept of membrane, the pressure sensor senses the hitting velocity and pressure, and sends the signal to the electronics system, these signals are the only things which trigger the correct sound track and effects. The following paper demonstrates the designing of Hardware architecture of the digital drums by using FPGA.
