Refute the Decision of Auto-Promotion and Real Facts of Digital Online Classes During the Pandemic in Bangladesh

This present research paper is to evaluate the effect and feedback from the people of all professions towards the steps ‘Auto-Promotion’ and ‘Using of online platforms for conducting academic activities’ during the COVID-19 pandemic which have been taken by the government of Bangladesh. The pandemic situation due to COVID-19 is disrupting all kinds of work nowadays. The effect of this epidemic greatly hit on the economic and educational sectors all over the world. Due to this pandemic situation, the government of Bangladesh has decided to make some plans for academic purposes. The mental impact of online activities that have been conducted by the students has also been discussed in this study. To collect the information, a simple online-based survey was conducted between 19th October 2020 to 5th December 2020. The survey ‘Google Form’ was made of some systemic questionnaires and was being sent to the people through social media platforms for collecting the datum. About 313 people participated in the survey and among them, 299 people agreed to share their information with us, the rest of 14 people disagreed. Around 57% of students did not support the step of ‘Auto-Promotion’ and many students think that there would be an alternative way for HSC examination. Only 28.43% of students say that it is possible to properly judge their merit by online examination. Most of the students are facing many health issues like anxiety, depression, mental stress, etc by using the internet and other computing devices. The students living in rural areas are the most sufferers due to poor internet connection. This public survey will be a concrete reference about ‘auto-promotion’ during the lockdown, a real situation to conduct the class and attend online classes for students in Bangladesh.
