An Experimental Analysis of Lifi and Deployment on Localization Based Services & Smart Building

Fast rapid change in technology brings our world is too close communicate and the blooming of information exchange is growing much fast. However, the communication supports the adequate changes and uses the unallocated spectrum under WiFi. This paper illustrates LiFi, which is an promising technology of communication. The light source acts as trans-receiver for this communication. It extends the concept of visible light communication with high speed of transmission and its bi directional. Hence using this technology for the communication in indoor application and it is optimized by the vertical construction of light source on the rooftops. Therefore this study demonstrates the lifi communication at the outdoor environment and especially in the public transportation area. The person stance near the LED source can connected to the web services. Through this connectivity it is more comfort to transfer the advertisement of local products, which reduce the cost of marketing and reduce the usage of spectrum. Here the hardware used is Arduino- Nano and LED & photo diode used as light source with the Zigbee trans-receiver. The local advertisement are transmitted to devices with the Lifi and as a demo model the LCD display used with the datarate of uplink and downlink is 2-1 Mbps. The Bit error rate and SNR of transmitting and receiving wave forms are measured to justify the improvements over wifi and how it is supported to the localization based services, which can extended to the IoT based indoor applications.
