Coaxial to Microstrip Transition Matching Method

Modern communication systems require higher and higher operational frequencies. For that reason, RF designer should pay special attention to every part of the scheme, including coaxial to microstrip line transition. This is the main research object of this work. Different transmission lines types (microstrip and coplanar) with different coaxial connectors types are presented. Maximum working frequency is discussed. Various experimental results are present. Matching method using time domain analysis is proposed.
