Estimation of the Man-Made Noise Effect on the Receiver Performance

Street electronic commercial advertisements utilizing modern information technologies with application of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and digital image change are sources of emissions that produce interference with the signal reception by the mobile radio receiver. The emissions come out from rapid switching a large amount of LEDs. The key parameter of the receiver that specifies its performance is the receiver sensitivity. A way to estimate the influence of the interference to the receiver performance is considered.
