Model Based Design for Automobiles by using Modeling and Optimization of Engine Cooling System

The cutting edge automotive cooling structure initiates the desire for precise analytical modeling techniques to improve the cooling system design techniques. This has increased the demand for developing a more detailed system design. Engine releases a large amount of heat during its working condition. This can increase the temperature to a very high level and it can also affect the engine components. In order to maintain the engine temperature, cooling system is utilized. Here, the proposed model uses engine cooling system with both water and oil cooling systems. The water cooling system without oil has high shoot up the temperatures before stabilizing at an optimum temperature. Whereas with both water and oil cooling, the temperature does not have high shoot ups. Standardized Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) has been used to analyze the faults associated with them and by constructing fault tree analysis. Thus, the optimal management of the temperature has a notable realization on the parameters namely fuel efficiency and exhaust emission from the engine during performance.
