Low-cost fixed-site ground station system for receiving NOAA-19 satellite

This paper proposes a design and builds of a low-cost fixed-site ground station to receive NOAA-19 APT weather satellite at 137.1 MHz. In a power link budget calculation, signals from NOAA satellites to the receiver of the ground station can be obtained with a margin of 26 dB at an elevation angle of 20 degrees. As a result of testing, the proposed ground station can receive the NOAA-19 to APT satellite images and displayed in real-time throughout the airspace of the station.
