A Novel Near Range Imaging Algorithm for Sparse Array

Recently, millimeter-wave 3D imaging employing a mechanical scanning and multiple input multiple output array has shown several advantages rather than arrays adopting single input single output. However, fast imaging algorithms have constraints on array element position currently. In this paper, combining BP algorithm and wavenumber domain properties, a fast fully focused imaging algorithm is presented. The algorithm has less restriction on both transmitters and receivers. In addition, the formula derivation guarantees the accuracy of the proposed algorithm. Finally, the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper is validated through simulation results.
