Design and Realization of 20GHz Ultra-wideband Excitation Signal Source

In order to provide an ultra-wideband excitation source signal for the portable vector network analyzer, this paper carries out a study of 30kHz~20GHz signal generation technology. In this paper, we give the overall scheme of the full band signal synthesis. The ultra-wideband frequency synthesis scheme based on the phase-locked loop (PLL) technology is introduced as a key point. We also design the impedance matching to reduce the transmission line loss effectively. Finally, the 30kHz~20GHz ultra-wideband excitation source signal synthesis based on the microwave printed circuit board is completed. Compared with the traditional scheme, the design scheme of this paper takes advantages of low cost, high productivity and low power consumption. After testing, the performance indicators of the output signal reach the desired design requirements.
