Multi-wavelength-coupled in-line pharmaceutical monitoring inspections with photo-thermoelectric device design of broadband image sensor array sheets

Development of a compact remote quality inspection scheme, consisting of a broadband photo-detector, single-wavelength photo sources, and target spectrum databases acquired via terahertz (THz) time domain spectroscopy, showed an adaptability for future in-line nondestructive pharma testing. In this work, we report on photo-thermoelectric device designs of carbon nanotube films from the viewpoint of scan time constant and scan resolution for high-speed and low-noise system operations. Furthermore, an experimental demonstration of multi-wavelength (THz - Infrared) in-line pharmaceutical monitoring inspection by fully utilizing the broadband photo-absorbing property of CNT films will be reported.
